50% Subsidy assistance will be provided to procure New Long liner cum Gill netter fishing boat subject to a maximum of Rs.30.00 lakh/boat in the total unit cost of Rs. 60.00 lakh.
a. Beneficiaries can be Joint owners (a group consists of maximum six fishermen)/ Fisheries Cooperative Society/Individual fishermen.
b. Only one member per family is eligible (Each member of the group should possess separate family ration card).
c. Should be an active fisherman with a maximum age limit up to 60 years and the applicant should have a biometric Fishermen Identity Card.
d. Should be a member of the Fishermen Cooperative Society.
e. Priority will be given to those who have not already availed subsidy under conversion of Long Liner Scheme of Tamil Nadu/ Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA).
f. Priority will be given to the individual fishermen for replacement of trawler.
1. Duly filled in application form (Format I).
2. Three copies of recent passport size colour photographs of the applicant in addition to the photograph affixed in the application.
3. Design with drawings of the Fishing boat which is proposed to be constructed under this scheme (Duly certified by qualified/ authorized Naval Architect)
4. Copy of Biometric Fishermen Identity card
5. Copy of the Family Ration Cards.
6. Copy of the proof for Fishermen Cooperative Society membership.
7. Photocopy of the bank pass book
8. In principle approval letter given by the bank for providing loan (if applicable) or undertaking given by the applicant
9. In case of applicants as group, copy of partnership deed executed among the group should be furnished.
