The Government provides industrial kerosene at a subsidized cost of Rs.25/- per litre and totally 3,700 litres/ boat / year to the traditional fishing crafts operated in Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli and Kanniyakumari districts
1. Country craft should be fitted with kerosene driven engine
2. The Boat should be insured and registered under Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing regulation Act 1983, also obtained the fishing licence.
3. Boat should be involved in fishing activities.
4. Subsidized Kerosene will be drawn in approved bunks run by Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation / Tamil Nadu State Apex Fisheries Co- operative Federation Limited
5. The authorized officer of the concerned districts will issue QR based smart card to avail subsidized fuel.
1. Copy of Registration certificate of the fishing boat registered under the Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1983.
2. Copy of the boat insurance document.
3. Copy of the certificate for fishing license.
4. Copy of the bill for purchase of boat and engine
5. Copy of the photograph affixed in the first page of bank passbook
6. Copy of Aadhaar card
