Online Registration of fishing Boats

Online Registration of Fishing Crafts and issuance of fishing license

To ensure coastal security, registration of fishing crafts through online web portal.

Eligibility Criteria to avail the assistance

a. The fisherman should reside within the jurisdiction of the concerned Authorized Officer of Department of Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare.

b. The concerned boat should be shown for the inspection of the Authorized Officer.

c. The fishing boat should posses sea worthiness and should carry sea safety equipments.

d. The Overall length of the boat and engine horse power should be as specified in Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1983

Documents to be enclosed by the applicant

1. Application in the prescribed format.

2. Photo of the owner and fishing craft.

3. Documents for construction/purchase of boat hull.

4. Document for purchase of Engine.

5. Copy of the family ration card/ voter's identity card.

6. Details of fishermen cooperative society membership.

7. Copy of Aadhaar card
