Sales tax exempted High Speed diesel is being provided @ 19,000 litres of Diesel /fishing boat / year to the Mechanised Fishing Vessel owners excluding the fishing ban period. In the case of country boats fitted with Out Board Motor/In Board Engine, 4,400 litres of Diesel /boat/ year is being provided.
a. The fishing boat should be registered under Tamil Nadu Marine Fishing regulation Act 1983 and have obtained fishing licence. The craft should be insured and involved in fishing activities.
b. Sales Tax exempted diesel shall be drawn from the approved diesel bunks run by Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation / Tamil Nadu State Apex Fisheries Co- operative Federation Limited
c. Subsidized diesel should be used only for the out Board motor / In board Engine purpose of fishing operations.
d. The authorized officers of the concerned districts will issue QR based smart card to avail the subsidized Diesel.
