Purchase of Engines (OBM/IBE)

Subsidy for purchase of Out Board motor / In- Board engine for the mechanisation of traditional fishing crafts

Subsidy assistance shall not exceed 40% of the cost of Out Board motor / In-Board engine, subject to a maximum ceiling of Rs. 54,000/- per engine.

Eligibility Criteria to avail the assistance

a. Fishermen shall register their fishing boats with the Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department and should possess valid licence for fishing.

b. Shall be a member of Fishermen Co-operative Society.

c. An interval of 4 years shall be essential for the subsequent grant of subsidy.

Documents to be enclosed by the applicant

1. Beneficiary should produce of Demand draft for 60% cost of the engine.

2. Copy of Registration certificate of the fishing boat

3. Copy of Fishermen Cooperative Society membership certificate.

4. Copy of Fishermen Identity card

5. Copy of smart card.

6. Photograph of the registered fishing boat.

7. Copy of Aadhaar card
